SharkRack gained a strong “from the inside out” design competency from its history of designing Sun rack mount kits and HP adapter rails. This competency contributed to the T2’s efficient space usage, intuitive cable management and user friendly design. These attributes let SharkRack offer the following cost savings:

• Fewer Failures: Standardizing on the T2, with its integrated cable management, creates an intuitive, easy-to-use physical environment which is more likely to be error free (human error causes 57% of catastrophic failures).
  
• More Space: With 6 extra rack units in the cabinet sides and tool-less device mounting, the T2 cabinet offers more space. Users get 48 Rack Units to work with in a 42U cabinet.
• Fuller Cabinets: The T2 was designed to fit all major vendors. Cabinets can be more completely filled, extending the life of the data center.
• Less Rack Build Time: Customers find that the T2’s tool-less device installation and easy cable management saves them up to 5 hours of technician build time per cabinet. Also, SharkRack will install power and other devices prior to shipping so that the T2 arrives ready to install.
• Less Expensive Freight Options: Truckload deliveries save freight. SharkRack arranges and plans dedicated truckload delivery. About 20 cabinets represent the break even point for doing this.
  
• Less Energy: Overall cooling is enhanced with T2’s optimal airflow.
